My dad story to you

Published on 27th Oct 2012, nearly two years before he came to join you.

It read,
"
A man but mausoleum for his late wife and self.
A man in Nyahururu built has made the odd decision to dig his own grave and build a mausoleum in his compound. 65 years old Njoroge Gachugi made a decision to do what is almost a taboo in the African culture that really fears the world of death."

It's true he built a well fitting mausoleum for you mum, and why not? He also made a decision that when he dies, he would like to be buried next to you, clever man, after all, you were his and he was yours. Your years were filled with struggle and you never weaved away, you stood firm to your wedding promises till the end. The promise we can make now is that the Mausoleum will be one day fit for our dad the king, mom the queen and our brother the prince.

The media twisted the truth for entertainment but those close knew the truth: with regards to dad digging his grave, he didn't. when he died, we and Rironi society dug his grave.
In dad's culture "African culture, a man has a duty to say what he would like when he's gone. Good on him for doing exactly that, so proud of him for having the capacity to embrace inevitable and for teaching us more about lifespan, a skills I use to teach next generation.

Mother, dad honoured you with a mausoleum.
